How to send money

With Moov Money, you send money by starting a payment and sharing a secure link with the person you're paying. Many people send money through their bank's or financial institution's app, which is powered by Moov Money.

Steps to send money

1. Start a new payment from the app of your financial institution or brokerage you use to send money with Moov Money.

2. Enter the amount you want to send.

3. Optionally add a short note describing what the payment is for.

4. Confirm the payment. Moov Money creates a secure claim link for it.

5. Share the link with the recipient by text message, or using the options available in the app.

What the recipient does

The recipient opens the link, verifies their phone number, and chooses to receive the money to a debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. See 📄 How to claim a payment

Good to know

• There are no fees to send money.

• The claim link is valid for 10 days. If it isn't claimed in that time, the payment expires. See 📄 What happens if my payment isn't claimed

• Only send money to people you know and trust, and only share the link with the intended recipient.
