Keeping your account secure

Last updated: July 14, 2026

A few simple habits go a long way toward keeping your money and information secure with Moov Money.

Protect your one-time codes

When you receive money, we verify your phone number with a one-time code. Never share this code with anyone! Not a caller, not a texter, not someone claiming to be from Moov or your bank. The code is what protects your money.

Set up a passkey

A passkey lets you verify it's you using your device's fingerprint, face, or screen lock with no password to steal or reuse. It's a fast, secure way to sign in the next time you receive money.

Keep your phone secure

Because your phone is used to verify it's you, protect it with a screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face), and keep your device and apps up to date.

Be careful with links

Only open Moov Money links that start with https://moov.money/. Don't click links from people you don't know.

📄 How to tell a real Moov Money link

Only transact with people you trust

Send and accept money only with people you know. Treat Moov Money like cash; once a payment is claimed, it can't be reversed.

Good to know

If you ever get a code you didn't request, don't share it. It could mean someone is trying to claim a payment that isn't theirs. If something seems off, contact us.
